HICKORY — Honoring the legacy of a long-time important determine at Catawba Valley Neighborhood Faculty, the Thomas W. Jameson Reception Middle was formally devoted this previous week.
CVCC President Garrett Hinshaw, CVCC Basis Govt Director Teresa Biggs and Division Head of Accounting and Enterprise Packages Christy Lefevers gathered for a dedication ceremony held within the newly-named Jameson Reception Middle for Accounting and Enterprise Administration Packages within the Robert E. Paap Schooling Constructing on CVCC’s important campus.
Jameson served as CVCC’s director of fiscal affairs from 1963-83 and was instrumental within the building of the Paap Constructing.
Jameson’s son — Thomas A. Jameson — wished to enchantment to CVCC college students together with his father’s work philosophy by means of his quote, “If you’re going to do one thing, do a greater than need-be job!”
“It provides me nice pleasure to announce the naming of the Jameson Reception Middle,” stated Hinshaw. “I’m delighted that Mr. Jameson’s philosophy shall be shared with CVCC college students for years to come back. On behalf of our college students, I wish to thank Mr. Thomas A. Jameson for help of our faculty that his dad served so effectively.”
Not solely will Jameson’s legacy be perpetually embellished on campus on the Paap constructing, however his son Thomas, who lives in Frankford, Del., established a fund by means of CVCC Basis, Inc. as a memorial to his father.
